I love vectors. They are resolution independent so they can be scaled to any size. This means they can be very useful to a designer. Vector Portal offers free vectors for anyone who wants them. They have a great selection, not just little symbols and images but also vector backgrounds and some pretty nice pictures. Because it is a free site there is a lot of low quality junk to sift through but if you take the time you can find some pretty cool stuff buried under all the cheap knock-off tattoo designs.
